From flooring and countertops to kitchen and bath cabinets and more, you’ll be able to choose everything when you choose a new McKee home. It’s one of the most exciting parts of the building process and is a great way to show off your unique style. While trends ebb and flow in the design world, our Design Studio Consultant, Briana Paterno, has some insights on what is trending with our current homebuyers. We hope you’ll be inspired by these trends when it’s your turn to make your selections!

Embracing Warmth

One of the prominent trends making a comeback in our buyers’ home design is the use of warmer colors and finishes. As the heart of the home, the kitchen is getting a stylish upgrade. Buyers are leaning towards warm tones like KraftMaid Bonsai painted cabinets and clean textures like the KraftMaid Barley stain finish option. The mix of wall and base colors adds depth and character to spaces, with more than just kitchen islands serving as a striking focal point.

Quartz Allure

When it comes to countertops, quartz continues to reign supreme. We’re seeing much bolder choices in countertop selections. But while quartz is always a popular choice, the Taj Mahal natural quartzite is the most popular. The allure of quartz lies not only in its beauty but also in its durability and low maintenance, making it a practical yet stylish choice for homeowners.

Flooring Fit for Royalty

Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) has claimed its throne as king lately. Its waterproof and scratch-resistant properties make it an ideal choice for modern living spaces. McKee Builders understands the practical needs of homeowners without compromising on style, offering a range of LVP options that marry functionality with elegance. Moreover, the hexagon-shaped tiles and concrete matte tiles for the shower pan and bathroom floors have gained popularity. Many have selected stacked tiles for shower walls and backsplashes, which adds a touch of sophistication to bathrooms and kitchens. Highlighting natural elements and gold tones is also proving to be a favorite design selection among McKee buyers.
