Three Charities & Over $100K Raised at Frank A. McKee Golf Classic 2023
October 13, 2023
McKee Builders has been a family-owned and operated homebuilder for three generations. We’re proud to build quality homes and distinct communities for families in Pennsylvania and Delaware. One of the best parts of what we do is helping people find a home that helps them thrive and enhances their lives. But building homes isn’t the only way we choose to positively impact lives. We love and value any opportunity to make a positive change within our community, by partnering with and donating to charitable organizations through our annual Frank A. McKee Golf Classic.

On September 7th, at White Clay Creek Country Club at Delaware Park, we celebrated the 16th year of hosting this highly anticipated event. At the Frank A. McKee Golf Classic, McKee Builders raises money for a different charity each year. However, this year we selected three notable organizations as benefactors to our event. It was a pleasure to have so many of our partners, vendors, friends, and family come out and support us as we worked the fundraiser.
We’re excited to announce that by the end, we raised over $102,000 to be donated to the three well-deserving charities! Keep reading to learn more about these wonderful organizations and their missions.
Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation

A story about a soldier killed in action, leaving behind his wife and unborn child inspired the founding of this organization in 2002. With a dedication to the families and their children’s future, their mission is to provide college scholarships and educational counseling to military children of Gold Star families (those who who have lost a parent in the line of duty) in all 51 states and territories, in all branches of the military.
Tails of Valor®, Paws of Honor
Another truly honorable charity is Tails of Valor®, Paws of Honor (TOV). They offer several different programs that use the warmth, patience, and non-judgmental qualities of highly trained canines (16-24 months of training) to help others. Their mission is to provide rehabilitation through non-medicinal therapies by training service canines for Veterans/participants suffering from PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) and TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). TOV provides trained companions who aid and assist in their daily routines, improving their quality of life.
Ryan’s Case for Smiles
Ryan’s Case for Smiles (formerly ConKerr Cancer) was founded in 2007 to bring comfort and support to young patients and their families in hospitals around the globe. Today, their programs have expanded to include the children’s entire families so they can better navigate and cope with a very difficult experience and avoid long-term emotional trauma.
One of the joys and fulfillments we have here at McKee Builders is being able to support so many amazing charitable organizations over the years. We are proud that our success means that we can give back to our community. Learn more about how McKee makes a difference here!
