Featured Homeowner: Meet Vince Fennell!

There’s something special about a toy train that immediately reminds you of the joys of childhood… And no one understands this festive cheer quite like Vince Fennell, one of our happy Champions’ Club homeowners who used to draw crowds of over 600 people into his East Greenwich home to view his magnificent train collection during the holidays.

Inspired by the toy train that his father would place around the Christmas tree every year, Vince eventually owned his own model train shop in South Jersey called Track 33, and expanded his love of trains into his own home. Today, as a resident of Champions’ Club in Magnolia, Delaware, Vince continues his tradition of bringing people together through the magic of trains… Every year, he holds 5 open houses for his train collection!

It’s no surprise that when Vince and his wife, Linda, were searching for a new home to settle into, a large and comfortable basement was a must. While looking from New Castle County to Rehoboth Beach, they stumbled upon Champions’ Club after taking a local route to avoid traffic. While touring the community and taking a look at the beautiful pool by the clubhouse, a few neighbors got out to chat with Vince and Linda, and said, “You have to move here!”

Both Vince and Linda wanted a corner lot, and it just so happens that lot 227 — the beautiful corner lot that was left in Champions’ Club — is the date of Vince’s mom’s birthday, as well as Linda’s son’s birthday. It was all meant to be! From a convenient, walk-out basement entrance to a spacious, stylish design from top to bottom, Vince and Linda instantly fell in love with their brand new home!
