Ask anyone who lives near the beach and they’ll tell you that Fall is the best time of year! It’s cooler, quieter, and infinitely more fun. Autumn in Bethany Beach, Delaware, is jam-packed with fun things for families to do. From pumpkin and apple picking, to scarecrows and sea witches, there are a million ways to fill the fall days. Here are some of our favorite things to do around the Delaware beaches in the fall.
32nd Annual Sea Witch® Festival | Rehoboth & Dewey Beaches | October 28th – 30th
The streets fill with witches, monsters, zombies, and other characters at this family-friendly event! Don’t miss the Costume Parade and the Dog Costume Parade. Plus magic shows, Halloween-themed scavenger hunts, and musical performances on the Bandstand.
Concerts on the Beach | Bethany Beach, DE | Various dates in October
There’s something for everyone – from rock and pop to country, jazz, and anything in between. Seating is provided free of charge. Audience members are welcome to bring their own chairs. Fall concerts begin at 6:00 p.m.
Scarecrow Trail & Show | Rehoboth & Dewey Beaches | October 1 – 31
Dozens of scarecrows are located at various businesses throughout the Resort Area including Dewey Beach, Downtown Rehoboth & Route 1. Follow the Scarecrow Trail, pick your favorite, and vote!
There is no shortage of farms, orchards, markets, and country stores in the area. Finding that perfect pumpkin, along with delicious fall specialties like apple cider and local honey, and seasonal decor is as easy as pumpkin pie!
