12th Annual Frank A. McKee Golf Classic
September 27, 2018
Famous golfer Ben Hogan once said: “I never played a round when I didn’t learn something new about the game.” As golf mirrors life in many ways, this quote rings true when it comes to building homes. Whether building a home for a local family or for a veteran, there’s always a takeaway for our team.
This past weekend, our 12th annual Frank A. McKee Golf Classic in West Chester, PA raised money for a charity we heard of while building a home for an Iraq War vet. Tails of Valor, Paws of Honor pairs service dogs with veterans dealing with PTSD, TBI, and physical disabilities, and combines two of our favorite causes, rescuing shelter animals and supporting troops.
Frank McKee Sr. started McKee Builders in 1948, and paved the way for his son and grandchildren to carry on the traditions of expertise, customer service, and most of all, giving back to our communities. We’ve been so fortunate to be in business for 70 years, and we believe that we receive by giving back.
Just as we take care of our home buyers, we also know the importance of taking care of our communities. With veterans in the family, we’re particularly committed to these heroes and providing them with spacious, high-quality homes that offer the most comfort and accessibility.
Our beloved golf tournament was attended by many of our vendors, subcontractors, and other people who have worked with us over the years in different capacities. We’re so honored to have had such a great turnout once again, and to see our good friends and team members having fun while helping others.
McKee Builders is proud to have raised our highest amount yet, $60,000! We cannot wait to see what par we hit next year, and we hope you will be able to join us along the 18-hole ride! For more information on our golf tournament and how you can be involved, give us a call at 215-791-6948.
