THE COURTYARDS AT BRANDYWINE FEATURES UNIQUE FLOOR PLANS, OUTSTANDING LOCATION

55+ Carriage Home Community in New Castle County, Delaware

You’re not like everyone else, so why do many 55+ builders expect you to buy a home just like everyone else’s? If you are not a fan of ‘cookie-cutter” homes, we suggest you visit McKee Builders’ 55+ The Courtyards at Brandywine in New Castle County, Delaware.

The gorgeous floorplans offered there include private courtyards, secluded balconies and patios perfect for entertaining. Three of the floorplans include the courtyards. Imagine a private space you can fill with plants, a bench for sitting, a fountain, whatever you want. These provide a peaceful area for you and a dramatic way to welcome guests. The courtyards also fill the home with abundant light. Or choose a floorplan with a secluded balcony off a bedroom, perfect for a morning’s cup of coffee of an evening’s glass of wine.

The community offers six floorplans that allow homebuyers to have both an elegant and a low-maintenance home. The floorplans feature a large loft, three bedrooms including a spacious first floor owner’s suite with coffered ceilings and two walk-in closets, 2 ½ luxurious baths, designer kitchens with granite countertops, stepped cabinets and pantry closet (in most floorplans); great rooms, hardwood floors in the foyer, kitchen and powder room; nine and ten foot first floor ceilings (per plan), and abundant closet space. The second floor includes two bedrooms a full bath and an open loft area. The homes include an outstanding trim package including wide base molding throughout, crown molding, picture framing and chair rail – all in designated areas; full basements, attached two car garage and rich exteriors consisting of stone, cedar shakes and beaded vinyl siding. Attractive pricing starts in the mid $300,000s.

Homebuyers can further personalize their homes with multiple options and floorplan changes. McKee is well known for working with the homebuyer to tailor a home to meet their lifestyle. Want a window or wall moved? Like a more open floorplan? They can do it.

Basements have and can be finished into another living space. Stairs can be changed. The homes’ flexible second floor loft area can be finished to be used as a home office, exercise area, hobby room, grandchildren’s play room and much more. This high level of customization ensures that the home meets the homeowners’ needs and desires, instead of trying to fit their life around a “one size fits all” floorplan.

Another added benefit is that McKee Builders is Energy Star 3.0 certified. This means that McKee Builders follows strict guidelines to make every home more energy efficient. The end result is a home that is 30% more energy efficient, which translates to much lower energy costs for the homeowners every month over the life of their home.

The community also offers several other important amenities including underground utilities and public water, sewer and natural gas.

The combination of excellent location and beautiful townhomes has lead to The Courtyards at Brandywine winning “Active Adult Multi-Family Community of the Year”, “Best Active Adult Multi-Family Home of the Year”, and Best Exterior Merchandising, from the Home Builders Association of Delaware.

The Courtyards at Brandywine is located in the heart of the Brandywine Valley’s culture, activities and historical sites. All of which offer outstanding programs throughout the year. Near by are the world-famous Longwood Gardens, the Brandywine River Museum, Hagley Museum and Gardens, Winterthur Museum and Gardens and the Brandywine River Wine Trail. These locations and more host bonsai shows, food and wine festivals, polo matches, a Shakespeare festival, blues festivals, antique car shows and the Pennsylvania Craft Guild Fair, to name just a few activities.
